Myriam Day is a final-year undergraduate student who studies Linguistics with Spanish at the University of York in the UK. She has interests in child language acquisition and bilingualism, but her primary focus is sociolinguistics and the role that identity plays in language variation and use. She aims to pursue her love of the social aspects of language with postgraduate study, and wants to be a university lecturer/researcher in the field of sociolinguistics.
