Elisabela Larrea is a part time PhD candidate currently working on her research on “Quim sã nôs? Study of Macanese Creole Theatre”. Having been working with Macanese cultural groups including Confraria da Gastronomia Macaense and Doci Papiacam di Macau, both enlisted in Macau’s intangible cultural heritage list, Larrea initiated a bilingual blog belamaquista.workpress.com that introduces Macanese culture Patuá dialect flashcards to English and Chinese readers. Larrea has also worked on spreading the Macanese culture via other media and artforms such as installation piece - Motion Painting (2006), documentary film “Filhos da Terra” (2008) and feature film “Macau Stories II - Love in the City (2012).
