London, United Kingdom
Jack Ashton lives in London, where he has just completed his MA in Linguistics at UCL. He loves languages of all shapes and kinds and is particularly interested in the preservation and representation of endangered languages through language activism, especially in relation to the indigenous languages of South America. He is currently conducting research on the interfaces between phonology and morphology in reduplication. Otherwise he’ll be cooking, experimenting with sustainable gardening, and contributing to Wikitongues’ online language archive.
